How We Should View of War in Iran

Latest in Iran, strikes are on pause between the US and the Muslim hegemon for the second straight day as the two countries once again come to the negotiating table. This coming after a long period of fighting after the death of 6 American soldiers and the targeting of vessels in the Strait of Hormuz caused President Trump to order more strikes in Iran. Now after 13 days and constant fighting, Reuters reports “Iran says they will halt strikes if US bombing pause holds.”

              As the war progresses on and the constant back and forth between negotiations then strikes and vice versa, what concerns me is a report from CNN. CNN found in a poll that 59% of Americans disapprove of the war in Iran.[1] Furthermore, they report 60% feel Trump does not have a clear plan and only 27% of Americans think we made enough of an effort to negotiate and acted only after diplomacy failed. This means 73% of Americans think we should have made more of an effort to negotiate with Iran instead of attacking. Although this could be typical confirmation bias for Liberals or even just CNN lying as they do often, it would seem true considering the splits its causing in the Republican party.

              It is one thing to disapprove of a campaign strategy or even a specific military operation or result thereof, but its another thing to side completely against your own country and that’s what these people are doing when they say these things. No matter what happens between the militaries of the two countries, anyone who is a patriot and who believes a strong US is a good thing for the world must realize that Iran is the aggressor here. Muslims around the world even in our own country, and most devoutly in Iran, hate Americans and believe in Holy War (Jihad) against the west in general. They dream of the day another Mehmed II or Suleiman the Magnificent would rise up and defeat the little and great satans: the US and Israel. We could not allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon which is something they’ve been clandestinely doing for decades. We could no longer allow Iran, to the chagrin of many liberals and squish Republicans, to bankroll and arm militant Islamic terrorist groups around the world but specifically in Syria, Yemen, and Palestine. A strong Iran, an Iran with control of the Strait of Hormuz, an Iran who is allowed to develop an Islamic coalition against Israel and the US, is a threat to world peace. The US, and by extension the Trump Administration, is doing what is incumbent upon them by nature of their position. The US must be the protector of Western World and the policeman of the globe if we want to remain prosperous, and everyone who speaks out against the war in Iran is speaking against America.
